Leduc, Canada Nelsen Technologies Inc. Full time

Under the direction of the Quality Systems Manager, the **Quality Assurance Technician **oversees the shipping and receiving process, ensures shop compliance with and assists in implementing internal quality policies, and completes administrative tasks at NTI. The technician ensures that American Petroleum Institute (API) Q1 standards are upheld. This position supports the Operations and Project Manager with implementing strategies to minimize nonconformances and maintain a quality-focused workplace.

**Responsibilities**:
QUALITY:

- Read, understand, and implement quality procedures
- Assist the Operations Manager while preparing for internal and external audits
- Perform receiving inspection of purchased goods and services
- Perform receiving inspections of customer property
- Prepare items for shipping and assist in loading outgoing trucks
- Maintain and update records and logs in an organized manner
- Ensure quality procedures are being correctly implimented in the shop
- Ensure shop materials are correctly marked and preserved

ADMIN:

- Able to assist in shop record-keeping
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks as per the Operation Managers request

**Previous Experience, Knowledge, and Abilities**

QUALITY:

- Experience working in a quality-focused work environment, including familiarity with API Q1 an asset
- Experience with production capacity planning, job scheduling, shipping and receiving, and quality assurance systems preferred

ADMIN:

- Good English skills, both spoken and written, able to communicate with respect, professionalism, and tact.
- Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment, and in the oilfield services sector in Western Canada is an asset.
- Must have experience with MS Office suite and/or other software tools.
- Proficient with Microsoft SharePoint & Dropbox

OTHER:

- Reliable and dependable with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean driver abstract.

**Working Environment, Physical Condition, and Capacities**
- Working in dusty, dirty, and noisy environments.
- Must have good vision, hearing and be able to wear appropriate personal protection equipment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
