**Scope**:
The Quality Assurance and Control Manager is responsible for the design and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met during construction and for overseeing the testing of processes and products. The QA/QC Manager is a member of the operations leadership team and will be expected to contribute significantly to the corporate Quality Management strategy and executive decision-making process.

The QA/QC Manager plans, coordinates, monitors, and enforces all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS). Primary focus on the installation of rotating equipment activities.

**Essential Functions**:
**Quality Control Management**
- Continuously monitor and develop quality control processes, procedures, and capabilities to sustain the most cost effective and efficient methods; making recommendations for improvement when identified
- Ensure QC requirements meet the project(s) contractual agreements and compliance
- Review and approve contractor’s and sub-contractor’s quality control documentation to ensure customer compliance
- Monitor, measure, and analyze the QMS processes
- Maintain calibration of equipment and records
- Maintain and update QA/QC documents: Manuals, System Procedures, Work instructions, Records, Forms, Checklists, and Industry Standards.
- Build and implement Inspection Test Plans (ITP) as required
- Develop and implement the contract Quality Plan
- Develop and revise quality procedures
- Ensure timely delivery of required customer requested/required documents
- Perform internal QA Audits
- Development of a preservation matrix on a job-to-job basis

**Compliance**
- Maintain QC compliance in accordance with identified Quality Assurance standards, company procedures, client specifications and contract requirements.

**Management Information**
- To monitor and report quality control progress, notifying any predicted shortfall or discrepancies against timescales and budgets.
- Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and managerial personnel.
- Contribute towards company business objectives by effectively communicating key information related to specific projects or company QA/QC programs.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively to build team cohesion through QA/QC dept and throughout company.
- Communicate compliance status updates to operations throughout the duration of projects to ensure project contractual obligations are met and QA/QC is maintained
- Conduct end-to-end training and development on Quality Management System.
- Coordinate verifications for all modifications and/or changes executed by construction due to RFI’s, NCR’s or any other deviation notices to ensure they are done as per the specifications, standards, and client approvals
- Report noncompliance and develop corrective actions

This role is required to adapt and undertake projects and related duties as assigned.

**Working conditions**

Office and field location work is required
- travel to sites as required; overtime is required.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Extensive Knowledge of API 686, API 610
- Experience with ISO9001 Standards and ISO9001 audits
- Ability to review and create technical documentations and develop, review, and maintain matrix and quality audits
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be a self starter

- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Effective communicator with the ability influence and affect change

**Education and Experience (minimum qualifications)**
- Red Seal Journeyman Millwright or Machinist
- Previous experience in mentoring and leadership
- Valid Drivers License and acceptable Drivers Abstract
- 3-5 years experience in related field

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday at head office in Leduc, AB
- 8 hour shift
- Overtime and field work may be required

**Experience**:

- QA/QC: 3 to 5 years (preferred)
- Leadership: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
- Red Seal Journeyman Millwright or Machinist

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
