**Job Description**:
RCM America is a not-for-profit entity created by The Royal Conservatory of Music to oversee the development, support, and expansion of our educational programming into new markets within the United States. An exciting and recent strategic project, this US-based venture nurtures awareness of RCM programs while seeking to forge new partnerships that promote our core curricula as well as the launch of our Smart Start early childhood program for educators and learners.

**What is the Opportunity?**:
The Product Manager is responsible for both product planning and product marketing of the Smart Start program in RCM America. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, executing on product vision, and working closely with other staff and departments to deliver an exceptional product.

This role will also work with the Sales and Marketing departments to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager’s role also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the organization’s overall strategy and goals.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Execute the launch of the Smart Start program for RCM America by participating in cross-functional teams to develop product, marketing, and partnership strategies.
- Work with customers and the Sales department to identify and drive enhancements and requirements into the product development process.
- Collaborate with the Smart Start team to ensure that sales targets are met in line with established budgets.
- Perform analysis of public information on competitors’ financials, product strategy, M&A, market share, news coverage, and wins/losses.
- Lead development of content for regular executive level presentations on competitors.
- Act as the voice of the customer within the organization.
- Execute the product strategy and roadmap.
- Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product.
- Ensure revenue and profitability goals are met.
- Deliver ongoing revenue forecasts (monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Provide input to the ongoing development of sales tools and collateral.
- Work with the Director, Smart Start to brief and train Sales and Business Development staff at regular meetings.
- Conduct ongoing research to support future product plans.
- Performing other duties as required.

**Job Requirements**:
**What We're Looking For**:

- A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager.
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Dynamic, self-motivated, and results oriented.
- Proven team player who is flexible and adaptable.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Ability to operate with diplomacy including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people skills.
- Previous experience in a role within the arts and/or not-for-profit industries is preferred.
