**The opportunity**:
The purpose of this position is to provide research services to members of the Manitoba Centre for Nursing and Health Research (MCNHR) in support of their scholarly and research activities. The position also supports MCNHR initiatives, activities and events

**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:

- Master's degree in a health-sciences, social, sciences, statistics, or related field is required.
- Two years of directly related experience is required.
- Must have experience in all phases of the research process, including ethics, data collection, management, entry and analysis and reporting.
- Experience in both quantitative and qualitative health research preferred. Familiarity with statistics required.
- Experience with online surveys and the survey software program Qualtrics, bibliography/citation software programs (such as Mendeley), and the University of Manitoba's Research Administrative Systems (RAS) is an asset.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Proven proficiency in use of microcomputers and related software, in particular with Microsoft Office suite of program and data management and analysis programs, such as SPSS, R or STATA is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required.
- Highly developed interpersonal competencies and group process skills are required.
- Ability to work independently, make sound judgements and utilize problem-solving skills is required.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, coordinate and establish work priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to process large numbers of documents with speed, accuracy and attention to detail in order to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external staff and contacts.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and the public in a diplomatic, firm but tactful manner.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
