Outside Sales Representative

Job Overview:
Reporting to the Vice President, as an outside sales representative your success with PLF will depend on your ability to build in-person relationships with potential and current customers. This hands-on role will manage our customers’ requirements with liase with our internal team to ensure quality control, cost management and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Grow the revenues and the profits in accordance with the business plan
- Identify and maximize all sales and market development opportunities
- Ensure outstanding customer service by developing rapport and strengthening relationships with all customers
- Monitor, evaluate, and make recommendations with respect to lost sales opportunities to continually improve upon sales results.
- Communication with all members of the PLF team especially the estimating and programing team to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Initiate sales process by scheduling appointments and face-face meetings
- Attending industry events and trade shows to market PLF products and services.
- Administrative tasks as assigned and required as it relates to sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work independently in a faced paced environment.
- Is self-motivated with an outgoing positive demeanor.
- As a high level of accountability and integrity
- A track record for meeting and exceeding personal and professional targets and goals
- The ability to work in a team environment.
- A track record of time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven sales experience, preferably in the steel business
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Is self-motivated and driven to succeed.
- Reliable and bondable
- Will have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferences will be given:
- Manufacturing experience and knowledge
- Experience in the steel or related industries
- CAD / PEP / Global shop experience or relatable systems
- Metal and metal processing techniques, business, and equipment
- Previous sales and / or customer service experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
