**Summer Student - Marketing Coordinator**

- The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing all marketing related activities for the NF Programs, including Nisa Homes, Nisa Helpline, and Nisa Learning; planning and strategizing, processing design requests, generating content for online and print marketing, implementing a brand strategy, executing all social media campaigns, and reporting all marketing related developments to stakeholders.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Marketing Strategy**
- Support the Marketing Manager in evaluating and establishing the marketing plan and strategy by setting objectives, planning, and organizing promotional presentations, and updating calendars
- Further marketing knowledge and education regularly through workshops, research, and seminars, and share best practices, and local marketing ideas and tactics with the team
- Regularly update proficiency in marketing tools and platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, Keela, Metricool, Later, etc.
- Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to the team, and provide instructions for use or promotion

**Graphic Design Coordination**
- Create clear and thorough creative briefs for design requests.
- Communicate with Social Media Lead for reviews and approvals of design drafts.
- Provide feedback on draft submissions, including feedback from Manager and Lead for complex design jobs.

**Social Media and Content Management**
- Manage social media pages, includinf Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, etc.
- Create relevant and on brand content designed to increase followers and follower engagement
- Manage the social media content calendar to plan and organize content for all accounts and platforms
- Generate relevant and engaging content ideas for each account
- Up to date knowledge of social media and content marketing best practices through regular, self-directed professional development
- Manage the company’s blog content calendar and blog articles
- Writing all digital communications in accordance with SEO best practices and optimization
- Ideating and crafting creative written ways to promote digital content on social platforms

**Project Management & Reporting**
- Update project progress on ClickUp daily
- Communicate progress to all stakeholders
- Participate in daily touchpoints and other marketing team meetings
- Review project timelines and adjust timelines as required
- Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data

**EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION**:

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a marketing role
- Literacy in Design Software (Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) is an asset.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of the Muslim charity/not-for-profit sector

**ELIGIBILITY**
- This position is part of the Canadian government’s summer job program.
- Able to provide a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN).
- Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
