Alternator and Starter Shop Technician

Diagnose and repair alternators and starters in a variety of vehicles.
Perform electrical tests to identify and resolve issues with charging and starting systems.
Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild alternators and starters as needed.
Install repaired or new components, ensuring proper alignment and connection.
Interact with customers to understand vehicle problems and provide clear explanations of recommended repairs.
Ordering of new products
Maintain accurate records of repairs, replacements, and diagnostic findings.
Stay informed about advancements in automotive technology and industry standards.
Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations when handling hazardous materials.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as an Alternator and Starter Technician or similar role.
- 5-8 years in related field
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for automotive systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of industry safety practices and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Certification in automotive technology or a related field is a plus.
- Valid drivers’ licence is required
**Salary**: $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
