Brampton, Canada Talk-Talk Speech and Language Services Full time

We’re currently looking for enthusiastic and professional **Communicative Disorders Assistants** (CDA) to join our diverse and dedicated team of clinicians.

Our CDA’s are responsible for:

- Delivering speech and language therapy in one-to-one and/or small group formats
- Implements skill acquisition plans targeting specific language, articulation, and augmentative communication-based goals
- Working under the supervision of a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist
- Preparing materials, developing activities, implementing intervention plans, and working towards established speech-language goals
- Creates low-tech communication aids, set up and program high-tech communication devices
- Maintains accurate documentation in the form of progress notes and progress summaries
- Other assigned duties as provided by the Speech-Language Pathologist
- Communicating and collaborating with team members, parents, and other professionals
- A graduate from an accredited Communicative Disorders program (CDAAC Membership is an asset)
- Skilled at using best practice guidelines and evidence-based information
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a “field” position, without daily supervision, while planning and delivering speech -language services
- Good at working collaboratively with other team members and supervisors
- Strong, planning, priority setting, and problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License and a vehicle to conduct home visits and community outreach activities
- A strong verbal and written communicator
- Willing to travel within the community and has access to appropriate transport
- An up-to-date Vulnerable Sector Screening.
