**Corporate Paralegal - MLTA-WPG-202409-050**

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Attending to online filings with Companies Office Online and Corporations Canada
- Attending to or arranging for filings with Corporate Registries across Canada
- Drafting and filing legal documents for basic and complex corporate transactions including incorporations/organizations, amendments, dissolutions, revivals, reorganizations, amalgamations, continuances, extra-provincial registrations, partnerships, trade names, change filings and other transactional related documents
- Conducting minute book reviews and preparing documents to correct minute book deficiencies
- Conducting and reviewing corporate searches
- Responding to daily inquiries from lawyers and clients; handling day-to-day corporate matters
- Updating and maintaining corporate records and ensuring documents comply with the applicable legislation and are entered into the corporate database

**Qualifications Include**:

- Graduate of a recognized legal assistant/paralegal diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a corporate paralegal role
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of Manitoba and Federal corporate legislation
- Solid knowledge of drafting transactional documents
- The ability to work in a fast-past environment
- A team player who is willing to mentor juniors
- A willingness to collaborate with others on the team
- Proficient in Emergent (or another corporate database)
