**What is the Opportunity?**

Based in Vancouver, the Building Envelope Specialist is responsible for overseeing small to large scale new construction projects while maintaining a high level of service for the Building Envelope practice at Entuitive. This entails leveraging technical expertise and working closely with the other service groups in the firm to ensure consistent, consolidated and leading-edge service delivery.

Entuitive is looking for self-motivated problem solvers, with the ability to think ‘outside of the box,’ with the ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative team environment.

Entuitive’s current and active project portfolio in the Vancouver office is diverse and exciting - from high profile cultural venues, commercial and residential skyscrapers, to healthcare facilities, multi-family residential and affordable housing. Our project portfolio in Vancouver includes project throughout the Lower Mainland but also across the United States with numerous high-rise office, headquarters, and residential high-rise projects underway.

Currently we are looking for an individual suited for and interested in working on our existing portfolio. Strong time management and communication skills are essential assets, as-is self-accountability and capability to work as a part of a comprehensive team across the full spectrum of a building lifecycle.

**What will you do?**
- Work closely with Entuitive’s existing Building Envelope leadership team in growing Entuitive’s presence in the North American market, specifically in the British Columbia region but also leading projects in the United States.
- Oversee and execution of projects within the realm of building envelope consulting with a focus on building envelope systems for new buildings.
- Create envelope solutions that contribute to the reduction of carbon in buildings and maximize energy efficiency to meet and exceed current code. This includes working on net zero and Passive House projects.
- Participate in collaborative design review for new construction projects, working with architects and other consultants to develop building envelope details and maintain best practice principles,
- Provide technical expertise and guidance as a Project Principal leading small to large scale projects through effective management, team leadership, coordination and participation in the delivery of projects thus ensuring a high level of service.
- Ensure the effective management of project budgets through cost control methods, scheduling and resourcing in order to meet project deliverables.
- Assist with the development of such templates, standards of practice and information sharing systems that will improve efficiency and the level of knowledge within the group.
- Perform and/or oversee others to execute contract administration (CA) duties for new construction, with the specific duties defined by the project requirements. This includes both desktop and field review, typical CA duties for new construction include, but is not limited to:
- Review of shop drawings and product data submittals
- Review of Requests for Information (RFI)
- Participation in design and other meetings
- Perform field review and prepare/issue supplemental reporting

**Advancing Entuitive**
- Participate in industry related committees, events, programs, and presentations at conferences in order to increase Entuitive’s profile within the industry. Prepare and execute presentations at applicable events and trade shows.
- Participate in internal committees and initiatives where you have particular expertise, experience and/or interest to assist in the firm’s growth and progress.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships and collaborative arrangements within the Architectural/Engineering/Construction community and other organizations to help achieve the goals of Entuitive.
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:
**What do you need to succeed?**
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in building envelope consulting.
- Bachelor’s degree in building science, engineering or architecture; or equivalent training.
- Must have working knowledge of building envelope systems and building science principles.
- Must have a working knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel and Bluebeam
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to manage complex situations with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and project management skills with ability to manage scope, schedule and budget.
- Must be willing to work at heights, including climbing ladders and working on swing stage.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle and maintain throughout employment.
- Access to a passport and desire to travel for work is an asset.
