**About us**

The Vancouver Women's Health Collective (VWHC) is a non-profit organisation helping all who identify as women, non-binary and gender non-conforming foster health, wellness and equity through feminist approaches to advocacy, shared knowledge and low-barrier programs and services. Since 1971, VWHC has supported women in their efforts to share their ideas and advocate for changes in the healthcare system; educate themselves about their reproductive health and rights; connect to female health practitioners providing women-centred care; and access fully funded or specialized care, mental health services, social housing, amongst others.

VWHC currently runs a safe and secure drop-in centre located in the Downtown Eastside and, through partnerships, facilitates access to primary care, naturopathic clinics, counseling, wellness and food security programs. Additional programs include piloting projects to enhance wrap-around care and healing for Indigenous women and the safety of women, non-binary and gender non-conforming folks.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**

1. Support coordination of team of volunteers and peers:

- Volunteer and peer team members job postings, scheduling interviews and shifts; circulate volunteer manual to new team members
- Collaborate to orientation/onboarding and providing input for evaluation of drop-in teams (e.g. practicum students).
- Collaborate in implementing procedures and policies
- Maintain volunteer records/contact info and statistics
- Provide administrative support for volunteer meetings and appreciation events (e.g. creating/circulating posters)
- Collaborate in regular communication with and engagement of volunteers and peer team members (e.g. updates)
- Track peer hours and prepare time sheets for payment
- Share Most Responsible Person (MRP) duties as assigned by Program manager.
- _**When MRP for the day**_**:_
- Ensure opening/closing responsibilities of the drop-in
- Brief/debrief shift with drop-in team
- Support participants to self or co-regulate and maintain an environment that promotes safety for all who access or work at the Collective

**2. Day-to-day administration of the Centre**
- Support promoting services, such as clinics, health workshops, yoga/Pilates, etc
- Support connections/logistics with in-kind donations partners
- Maintain inventory and restocking of supplies (office and drop-in centre supplies)
- Generate monthly attendance statistics
- Responsible for supervising and supporting Drop-In volunteers with an inclusive and collaborative management style. Actively participate in the recruitment, orientation, training, and retention of volunteers alongside the executive director and manager of programs.
- Support with maintenance of the VWHC IT and other equipment
- Assist with financial duties: collecting and pre-coding invoices, preparing cheques for signature, coordinating with signing officers
- Provide insight, support, and/or follow-up with volunteers and/or participants in the case of critical incidents as required.
- Be available for on-call duty to respond to any emergencies that can affect the program during working hours and after-hours.
- Build and maintain the volunteers monthly schedule, respond to shift coverage, and arrange any emergency scheduling changes as needed.

**3. Other duties as assigned by the Executive director or program manager, including**:

- Attend Collective meetings, AGM and other ad hoc committee meetings as required
- Other duties as needs arise

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 3 years of experience in anti-oppression sector and/or lived-in experience
- Ability to work collectively in a feminist and intersectional organization, and foster collaborative relationships within the VWHC and in the community
- Ability to problem solve in a complex environment and think strategically
- Proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion
- Strong administrative, writing, communication and time management skills
- Excellent organizational skills
