Tibro Group is looking to hire a full-time **Maintenance Technician** to join our team.

Tibro is a real estate company focused on developing and operating purpose-built rental housing in
Southern Ontario. We design, build and manage developments of 50+ units by working with top professionals, fostering positive relationships with municipalities & the community, and creating trusting relationships with our residents. We are currently in a rapid growth phase, and are looking for an energetic, driven individual to join our team.

**Position Summary**
- General building cleaning and handling waste disposal bins for pick up
- Snow removal and salting of driveways/walkways
- Carrying out suite turns on vacancy (re-caulk, repaint, clean, etc.)
- Doing general handyman work such as minor plumbing and electrical (e.g. fixing leaky faucets, running toilets, low voltage wiring repairs, minor electrical repairs, replacing smoke detectors, etc.)
- Repairing issues in common areas and suites where certified technician not required
- (drywall/plaster repairs, paint, adjusting door closers, replacing light bulbs, etc.)
- Attending building alarm issues (including after-hours) and interacting with emergency services personnel when required.
- Conducting maintenance on and monitoring mechanical, electrical and fire safety systems (filter changing, lubricating parts, purging sprinkler systems, testing generator, checking fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, geothermal system, etc.)
- Attending building emergencies that do not require emergency services such as flooding, lack of heat in-suite, lack of hot water in-suite, etc.
- Providing access for tradespeople; providing access and service elevators to incoming and outgoing tenants; dealing with tenant lockouts
- Conducting seasonal inspections of units; preparing building for seasonal changes (e.g. purging wet systems for winter)
- Dealing with non-specialised trade deficiencies from ongoing construction projects
- Ensure our properties are consistently in a good state of repair, and are kept in the best condition possible
- Maintain a friendly and helpful demeanor with all tenants and staff
- Maintain a professional and appropriate schedule and appearance

**Qualifications**
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle suitable for trade work (large van or pick-up truck)
- 5+ years’ experience as a handy many, general contractor or similar
- Comfortable with technology such as computers and cell phones
- Able to use Microsoft office (excel and word)
- Comfortable with and has a good understanding of a wide variety of handyman work including plumbing, mechanical, electrical, life safety, etc.
- Able to be deal with after-hours issues as needed
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Focused; enjoys completing tasks quickly and efficiently
- Entrepreneurial mindset with very strong work ethic
- Self-starting and detail oriented
