We are looking for a Business Development Lead - Renewable Energy at our Walker Environmental Division Office located in Niagara.

**Business Development Lead**

Reporting to the Vice President, Waste Services and Business Development, the incumbent will support the growth of revenue generation from existing and expanding markets, new market penetration as well as the development of new business opportunities alongside our landfill gas utilization and renewable energy teams.

**Major (**Primary) Responsibilities**:

- Perform market, industry, and competitive analyses to enhance evolving market knowledge, keeping abreast of current market trends. Identify opportunities for market share growth along with new and emerging market opportunities.
- Build, influence, monitor and maintain strong executive relationships with prospective clients and existing customers, mainly interacting with senior level management in order to consult, gain perspective, and understand challenges and business imperatives related to specific opportunities.
- Investigate and advise the Senior Management Team of potential business opportunities, acquisitions, and report on the progress of efforts.
- Liaise with partners and consultants, both active and prospective, in conjunction with Project Managers, to enhance project delivery and budget achievement.
- Assist with the preparation of proposals, including highly complex, multi-year, custom solutions, and assist in negotiations and agreement preparation.
- Build financial models and uses highly developed technical presentation skills to support proposals.
- Prepare communications and track key metrics related to progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal stakeholders.

**Qualifications**
- Four-year university degree in Business Administration. Additional courses in English, Chemistry, or Environmental Science an asset. MBA is also an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, account management and/or sales experience.
- Knowledge of Oracle is an asset.
- A valid Driver’s License is required in order to travel to various work sites.
