**Summary of the role**
We are currently seeking a Research Associate I to assist investigator name at the Bruyère Research Institute (BRI).
Our research teams are dedicated to producing rigorous analyses to promote gender equality and global health.
**Main duties and responsibilities**
Research Design and Analysis:
- Participate in the development of research objectives, methodologies, and grant proposals, contributing to the overall research strategy.
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews, environmental scans, and needs assessments on topics related to gender equality and global health.
- Design and implement qualitative and quantitative research studies, ensuring methodological rigor and data integrity.
- Perform mid
- to high-level data analysis using statistical or qualitative software and contribute to the interpretation and presentation of research findings.
- Assist in drawing preliminary conclusions from study data and support senior researchers in deriving insights and recommendations.
Project Coordination and Support:
- Collaborate with team members and external partners to ensure research project milestones, timelines, and deliverables are achieved.
- Provide logístical and administrative support for research activities, including managing project documentation, timelines, and communication with stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing project reports, presentations, and publications to disseminate findings to internal and external audiences.
Stakeholder Engagement and Knowledge Dissemination:
- Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including policy makers, program implementers, UN organizations, and academic institutions to gather insights and promote research outcomes.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating workshops, seminars, and other events to present research findings and foster stakeholder feedback.
Professional Development and Learning:
- Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in gender equality, global health, and research methodologies.
- Other duties in all above categories as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications**
- **Master’s degree** in Public Health, Gender Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field with a minimum of **3 years** of relevant experience in research OR **PhD** in Public Health, Gender Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field with a minimum of **1 year **of relevant research experience.
- Proven expertise in qualitative and/or quantitative research methods, with a sound working knowledge of applicable research software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, NVivo, Dedoose).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently, with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R) and qualitative data analysis tools (e.g., NVivo, Dedoose).
- Experience in gender equality and global health research.
- French language proficiency is highly desirable and considered an asset for this role.
