**Accounting Associate (AR, AP, Payroll, and Excise Duties)**

Ayurcann Inc. is a leading cannabis processing company specializing in the production of high-quality cannabis products. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Accounting Associate to join our dynamic team. This position is responsible for managing various accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, and excise duties.
- **Proficiency in Dynamics 365 is a must-have requirement for this role.**_

**Responsibilities**:
Accounts Receivable (AR):

- Generate and send accurate and timely invoices to customers.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain an up-to-date record of customer transactions and communications.
- Collaborate with the sales team to resolve any billing issues or disputes.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic financial reports related to accounts receivable.

Accounts Payable (AP):

- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices, purchase orders, and other supporting documents.
- Prepare and perform payment runs, ensuring adherence to payment terms and company policies.
- Reconcile vendor accounts, resolve discrepancies, and respond to vendor inquiries.
- Maintain an organized filing system for accounts payable documents.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic financial reports related to accounts payable.

Payroll:

- Coordinate and process payroll in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Collect and review timesheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Calculate and process employee wages, deductions, and benefits accurately.
- Prepare and distribute employee pay stubs and annual tax forms.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll matters.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic payroll reports.

Excise Duties:

- Ensure compliance with excise duties related to cannabis products.
- Calculate, record, and report excise duties accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain proper documentation and records related to excise duties.
- Liaise with relevant authorities and respond to inquiries or audits related to excise duties.
- Stay updated with changes in excise duty regulations and ensure adherence.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with Dynamics 365 is a **must have requirement.**:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on AR, AP, payroll.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team.

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
