**MAJOR DUTIES**:
Full responsibility for selecting, managing, measuring and improving the supply chain for REM Canada. Create a supply chain competency that will differentiate ATS in the market place by providing increased customer value. Ensure manufacturing operations receive the right material at the right time with no excess inventory.
- Identify, qualify and select supply chain partners for REM.
- Measure supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop a flow of material that minimizes inventory.
- Develop a LCC sourcing strategy and execution.
- Drive quotation efforts with accurate material costs.
- Work with ATS divisions to develop a LCC sourcing strategy and execution
- Leverage scale and cost across ATS

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Plans, organizes and directs activities for the supply chain department of REM.
- Develop employee team to ensure supply base strategy is achieved
- Negotiates contracts with Suppliers.
- Implements insourcing / outsourcing strategies to minimize costs.
- Ensure costs for quotations are lowest solution
- Provides continued market research for competitive processes and benchmark costs
- Reduces the transactional costs of the total supply chain.
- Leverages suppliers to find ways to add value to REM (R&D, logistics, VMI, cost, etc)
- Sets the manufacturing forecast and capacity plan to optimize the flow of materials in and out of the factory. Controls the MRP process through JDE.
- Develops appropriate inventory replenishment techniques using lean manufacturing principles.
- Overall responsibility for improving inventory turns.
- Ensure department compliance with the code of conduct, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and company policy.
- Ensure the highest level of ethical standards is maintained with all interactions with our suppliers.
- Manages operations of the warehouse
- Improve / leverage utilization of JDE planning and scheduling.

**Qualifications**:
A post-secondary diploma or degree in Purchasing Management, Engineering or equivalent Business Administration designation. Completion of PMAC or an MBA is an asset. Minimum of 7 years of relevant supply chain / leadership experience.
