About the Role
The Supply Chain Specialist will work closely with the Production Manager and other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of materials to our customers. This individual will be responsible for purchasing and planning, vendor management, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Operations team.
Responsibilities and Deliverables
- Purchasing and Planning:
- Procure high-quality materials and services from suppliers.
- Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate records.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risks.
- Collaborate with Commercial Team to understand current and future product demand.
- Vendor and Supplier Management:
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Implement supplier qualification and onboarding process.
- Communicate latest drawing packages and manage production transition at suppliers.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to ongoing development of other departmental processes.
- Plan and execute cost reduction opportunities.
- Improve internal processes and procedures to increase efficiency.
Requirements and Qualifications
- College Diploma and/or University Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing and/or Logistics.
- 2 – 5 years relevant experience in a regulated industry.
- Experience working in a medical device environment (ISO 13485, FDA QSR, EU MDD/MDR, etc.) is an asset.
- Experience with Supply Chain in a scaling organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
