**Food Writer**

Are you creative with a passion for food and writing? Do you wake up thinking about your next meal? Can you tell a banana from a plantain? Do you know the difference between a Hasselhoff and a Hasselback? If you answered yes to all of the above, Gusto TV is the place for you. We’re looking to expand our Ottawa based scriptwriting team. As a writer/researcher you:

- Have a broad knowledge of food - world cuisines, cooking techniques, food trends - and you’re always learning more.
- Will research dishes and recipes, helping to create the mouthwatering meals our hosts make on-screen.
- Assist in writing scripts - blocking out the dynamic actions and scripting the witty banter our hosts are known for.
- Are comfortable working with other writers and chefs, and having your work critiqued or edited by them.
- Are proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Laugh in the face of deadlines.
- Have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and most importantly, a love of food

This is 6 month contract with an opportunity to become full-time, based at our studio in Ottawa and working collaboratively with the entire food-loving Gusto team. Come hungry

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $4,167.00 per month
