**SCOPE**
Reporting to the Supervisor, Customer Service, the incumbant will provide exceptional customer service while consulting on and coordinating print material and promotional product production on behalf of the university. Act as a liaison between customers and suppliers to provide estimates, select vendors, coordinate production schedules, and verify files. Ensure that production is handled cost effectively while meeting university brand and purchasing standards. With focus on sustainability, ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. To look for new revenue opportunities within print and promotional product categories.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Communicate with clients about pricing, schedule, proofs, job progress, issues with files, request missing information, payment method, delivery dates etc. React quickly and effectively to constant changes/demands and within very short production schedules. Coordinate production and liaise between client and vendor. Verify grants and departmental codes authorization when filling requests.
- Verify files are print ready: image resolution, format, bleed etc. Make minor changes to files, impose files to best optimize sheet size and press.
- Administrate POS and online ordering tool including adding or updating products and pricing grid, adding new templates, vendors/suppliers and customers.
- Consult with clients about sustainable paper and printing options. Make recommendations based on job specs and use. Work with vendors to ensure sustainable print production and selection of products to align with the university’s sustainability plan.
- Place bulk orders for Concordia stationery and related products, and supplies and stock for print operations.
- Provide insight on revenue generating and sales increase strategies. Recommend methods to increase overall profitability and efficiencies.
- Assist in Print Store serving customers, producing jobs, and participating in inventory count.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Diploma of Collegial Studies (3 yr.) Graphic Design or in a field related to the primary responsibilities, 2-4 years of related work experience in buying and estimating - Excellent customer service skills
- Good spoken and written English (Level 4), Good spoken and written French (Level 4)
- Strong analytical skills are essential for accurately estimating costs, analyzing supplier proposals, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Well rounded knowledge of the print production process including digital and offset. Knowledge of environmental certifications pertaining to paper and print production is considered an asset.
- Good understanding of graphic requirements, page layout and imposition
- Good understanding of Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, print management software.
- Good knowledge of file compression software as well as file transfer protocol
- Good understanding of PC platform, Windows, MS Office, intermediate word and basic excel and power point. Easy Projects, PDF imposition plug-in software. Knowledge of Docket Manager is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, embrace and adept to change.
- Capable of supporting stress and pressure in a high-volume service environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and within a team setting.

Pay: $31.12-$37.43 per hour
