**Your primary responsibilities will include**:
An exciting opportunity exists in our practice for a talented and motivated individual to grow our Client Accounting Services. We are continuously embracing new accounting technologies and this role is for an individual who wants to evolve with the firm. The Cloud Accounting Bookkeeper has experience working with cloud-based technology and keeps on top of new tech trends and software in the industry.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Full-cycle bookkeeping from client supplied records
- Preparing payroll and related filings, reconciliations, HST returns, financial statements and reports
- Providing assistance and support to clients on accounting and bookkeeping issues
- Assisting clients on bookkeeping software program issues
- Training clients on cloud-based practices
- Setting up or converting clients to cloud-based services
- Supporting clients to use cloud-based services to improve bookkeeping processes and create efficiencies
- Proactively follow up with clients and build positive working relationships
- Effectively respond to requests or queries, and keep the team apprised of any potential issues
- Participating in practice and professional development initiatives
- Mentoring, training, and developing junior staff
- Working closely with partners and other senior staff to identify value-added services by understanding industry trends, key performance drivers, and emerging opportunities
- Full-cycle bookkeeping experience in public practice accounting or in a multi-client environment is an asset
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, other accounting and bookkeeping software programs and cloud-based apps is an asset
- Strong technical knowledge across multiple industries
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage deliverables, adhering to time and budget constraints
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Interest in mentoring and developing others
