PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for the implementation, support and communication of Information Technology (IT) digital governance practice and related workflow automation solutions that digitize the elements of information and technology governance practice to effectively support overall FSRA’s business objectives and meet obligations with respect to IT operational risk, compliance risk, strategic risk, and data privacy risk.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies, adopts, implements, and evolves information and technology governance and compliance requirements that are crucial in the realization of digital governance practice across FSRA to support overall business objectives, create value and minimize risks for business.- Fosters new approach to achieving digital governance and quality control standards by enabling business with modern technology, insights, and automation to fuel outcome-based governance, anticipate issues, eliminate duplication, free up resources, and identify areas of potential performance improvement.- Integrates IT policies, standards, and metrics into modern technologies to measure and enable continuous improvement, sets and evolves the governance standards and compliance pipeline and creates an agile and data-driven culture and processes.- Supports the Business Management Office to operationalize and evolve IT digital governance practice, leverage innovative technologies that support compliance with regulatory requirements, reduce risk, and make governance a seamless part of the business.- Discovers, researches and utilizes technologies and tools like machine learning, and AI to improve efficiency, reduce governance burden, and increase compliance and adoption.- Maintains and evolves Information Technology policies and standards catalog as well as IT Risk register.- Operationalizes key risks and control metrics to measure and enable continuous monitoring of IT governance and compliance requirements, drives test automation and continuous learning, adopts DevOps methodology and Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).- Serves as the IT liaison with business functions and provides support on FSRA internal and external audit engagements including risk management activities at quarterly and annual attestations.- Solicit feedbacks from IT staff / management and draft responses to internal / external audit findings.- Supports IT department in continuous process improvements and management of special projects.QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience- Degree/diploma in Information Technology, Business Management, Engineering, or related field.- 3 - 5 years demonstrated experience in new modern Governance, Risk and Controls platforms, emerging technologies, risk management and/or regulatory compliance practices and/or methodologies to develop Information Technology standards, processes, and related workflow automation solutions within a digital environment.- Experience in IT Governance, Cloud Governance, and Data Governance practice, DevOps environment and digital product delivery.- Proven experience with IT Process Automation tools to generate automatic compliance controls as part of larger workflows and perform data collection and reporting regularly.- Experience with one or more RPA technologies.- Experience with reporting or analytical software (Tableau/ Power BI / BOBJ / Azure etc.)- Demonstrated experience in scoping technology needs, developing and supporting digital solutions.
Knowledge and Skills- Quantitative techniques including Artificial Intelligence, Robotics Process Automation, and other analytical development space (data visualization, data pipelining, etc.)- Strong understanding of databases and experience in reading/writing SQL statements with complexity is highly desired.- Previous web programming and / or software development skills (an asset)- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Excellent interpersonal and management skills- Proven skills in developing and managing complex relationships with stakeholders.- Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated creativ
