**Purpose**:
**Education**:
Master's Degree required in Psychology, Neuroscience, or Human Behaviour or an equivalent of 5 years recent experience (defined as within the last six years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below. In addition, a Master's Degree in Design, Strategic Foresight and/or Innovation preferred.

- Experience planning and conducting both quantitative and qualitative user research at all stages of service development.
- Ability to frame key questions, create research plans to address those, conduct research, and synthesize the findings into meaningful, actionable insights.
- Ability to design and conduct client testing and concept validation-i.e. identify potential solution options for a stated client need and design experiments that help elicit the most viable solution for users.
- Strong understanding of how to design distinctive user experiences.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior client business and design decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage client expectations effectively.
- Distinct customer focus and quality mindset.
- Ability to manage own learning and contribute to functional knowledge building.
- Ability to quickly acclimate to working in new multi-disciplinary teams.
- Curious and always thinking of the experience of clients and stakeholder groups when designing and creating new forms of interactions.
- Look for complex problems from a range of perspectives and solve them creatively, rooted in deep research.
- Visual design skills including use of a diverse set of software such as Sketch, Adobe suite, Axure, Balsamiq, or other tools for visual design.
- Collaborate well with diverse colleagues, from software engineers to agile coaches and consultants and bring design thinking into every situation encountered.
- Confidently share expertise and insight with senior leaders. Presenting to clients is energizing for you. you thrive in leading workshops to help them achieve their business goals. You also present at conference and meetups, as you're an active leader in the design community.
- Engage excellent communication to create and design user experiences.

- **Compensation**:
York's CPM Compensation Framework has a salary grid consisting of 6 or 8 steps (depending on job grade) which is reviewed annually with possible adjustments, and a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award.
