**ABOUT THE RESIDENCES ON YONGE**
We’re putting a new face on the look of Retirement living in Aurora. Designed and built by Traditions Seniors Housing and operated by Gray Wave Advisory. We believe in inclusiveness in a workplace that respects and celebrates all cultures working as a team to serve our Residents. Residences on Yonge will offer an unmatched service level for Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care for 105 Residents, large enough to be efficient and small enough to provide a caring difference.
**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:A Nurse that manages and promotes the resident’s well-being and all aspect of care. They must ensure effective, efficient and deliver care within the established standards and budgetary requirements.
- Develop, maintain the plan of care that meets all psychosocial needs, physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual. Lead care conferences based on residents needs.
- Develop a team of "caring" competent nursing personnel responsible.
- Is on call for consultation to all nursing problems and provides guidance in finding a resolution.
- Designs and maintains a rotating schedule for the Nursing Department. This will include R.N.'s and R.P.N.'s and Attendant staff. Must also participate in weekly timecard review and payroll preparation.
- Develops and implements ongoing programs of In-Service Educational Programs.
- Leads, initiates, and participates in ongoing "team building" throughout the home.
- Identifies performance improvement needs and seeks out resources.
- Develops a Quality Management Program to evaluate resident care.
- Listen, manage, and respond to resident and family needs.
- Ensure administration of medication in accordance with the policy of the Retirement Residence and the regulations of the Ministry of Health
- Ensures a comprehensive program of resident care directed towards assisting each resident to achieve and maintain her/his highest level of self-care and independence.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
- Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care practices and techniques including courses or experience in Retirement Living, Assisted living, Memory care or long-term care.
- Previous managerial experience in the retirement home setting and knowledge of RHRA.
- Human relations skills required in handling variety in interactions with residents, families, staff, and the public.
- Must be able to adapt, manage and lead through the ever-changing demands of the Retirement field, not limited to Covid.
- Must have knowledge of COVID 19 policies and protocols and promote the importance protecting the residences.
- Experience with Point Click Care is an asset.
- Minimum of 2-year Leadership experience
**Education**:Registered Practical Nurse, Current Registration with the Colleges of Nurses in Ontario, Gerontology
**Salary**: $65,167.12-$75,000.00 per year
