**POSITION OVERVIEW**

Are you a translator, editor, or communications professional who enjoys project management and leading a team? Are you a fluently bilingual, highly collaborative leader with an openness to developing new strategies and trying new ideas?

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead a dynamic team of in-house translation professionals
- Coordinate freelance work and oversee freelance budget
- Develop production schedule and best practices to balance workflow and ensure on-time delivery of French-language translations and proofed documents
- Oversee the production of high-quality external facing translations including news releases, media, events publicity, sales collateral and French social media content - Consult with teams across the organization to support translation needs, manage translation pipeline and workflow, and prioritize projects
- Manage needs around translation software, memory, and automation
- Collaborate on localized content via a content management system (CMS) for the Mitacs website and other digital platforms
- Support French language corporate website and updates as required

Skills and qualifications:

- Fluently bilingual with a minimum of 5 years’ experience executing content creation, editing, and/or translation functions to inform production management
- Highly collaborative, agile leader with an openness to change and new ideas
- Attention to detail, superior organization and planning skills
- Experience in fast-paced environment managing multiple competing deadlines
- Experience developing production schedule and implementing new workflow and best practices
- Experience incorporating AI tools and related technology as part of a well-rounded translations strategy
- Skilled management capacity for effective budgeting and forecasting against quarterly and annual resourcing
- Certification in translations, editing, communications, or project management considered an asset
