**What Will You Do?**

Specifically, you will:

- Liaise with internal departments to scope out customer product requirements and manage the planning of production processes, quality standards and budgets that will achieve their product needs.
- Support the development of associated production schedules, forecasts and risk management plans and distribute them to all departmental representatives to ensure clear project communication.
- Review and assess product designs with the Technical Director, develop manufacturing plans and generate work orders.
- Attend press-side approvals and, based on design or reference standards, provide sign-off authorizing production runs.
- Interact with suppliers to ensure the materials provided will generate a product that meets the customer requirements. Confirm production schedules reflect material delivery timelines and budgets capture costs.
- Monitor products as they progress through each manufacturing step and ensure quality standards are maintained and delivery schedules are met.
- Develop and improve quality controls and work with the Quality Control Laboratory to match reference standards throughout production runs.
- Promptly address any production issues/concerns that could negatively impact performance standards and, working with senior management, develop contingency and remedial action plans.
- Organize and attend various client and internal production meetings, document the proceedings, and create and disseminate summaries to the team as requested.
- Work with the Director of Logistics to coordinate shipping and logistics processes between production facilities and to the customer.
- Complete post-production lessons-learned exercises and identify opportunities for future improvements where possible.

**What Will Help You Succeed?**

**_ Knowledge/Experience_**
- University degree or college diploma in Printing Technology, Manufacturing or Engineering.
- Project management skills, specifically scheduling and prioritization
- A high level of proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Bilingualism is an asset. Our customers are all over the world, so languages in addition to English are an asset.

**Mandatory Requirements**
- The ability to obtain, and maintain, Government of Canada Secret (Level II) clearance;
- Able to travel between our sites in Ottawa on a regular basis. Occasional travel may be required outside Ottawa (domestic and/or international).
- Able to work on-call hours when your product is on press.
