Secret Media Network is a digital media group focused on recommending perfect plans, discovering great places, sharing things to do and relevant breaking news in different cities around the world. **About the Role**

We are currently looking for a Montreal-based Staff Writer to join our French team This exciting opportunity within a dynamic and fast-growing start-up is perfect for a journalism and social media enthusiast who wants to showcase their skills to a large, highly engaged audience. We're seeking someone who can create vibrant, original content about city life for our Bordeaux Secret Media platforms while also supporting all French-speaking markets (France and Belgium) with commercially focused content.

Here's what you'll be responsible for:

- Discover and develop compelling stories and generate numerous article ideas for Secret Montreal.
- Crafting engaging, accurate, and informative articles efficiently.
- Produce content for our commercial partners and Fever Original events.
- Ensuring all site copy and headlines adhere to editorial guidelines and our style guide.
- Collaborating on an editorial calendar that balances news, reviews, and city-centric content, ranging from trending stories to planned campaigns.
- Creating SEO-friendly posts (SEO training will be provided).
- Assisting in promotional efforts and collaborating with our Social Media Networking team under manager guidance.
- Using analytics to refine your content strategy and make adjustments as necessary.

**About You**
- Native-level proficiency in written and spoken French is essential. A fluent English for internal communications is also preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in digital writing.
- Proficiency with social and digital publishing tools.
- Has a working knowledge of social media best practices and a keen interest in staying updated on the latest trends in social media and digital platforms.
- Exhibits a keen news sense, understanding what makes a story shareable on social media.
- Is familiar with social and digital publishing tools, with a strong organizational approach to managing their responsibilities.
- A strong connection to the city's lifestyle, food, entertainment, and art scene, demonstrating a deep understanding of its cultural nuances.
