**Responsibilities**:
Communications is responsible for the external communications (branding, press, advertising, social media, digital/websites, conferences & events) and internal communications (intranet, newsletters, digital, events) for SG Americas including our offices in the US, Canada and Brazil. The team works closely with the SG Americas CEO and Executive Committee, as well as key partners in the Business Units, Human Resources and other support functions to communicate key stories and initiatives that help promote SG Americas to its clients, stakeholders, recruits and the broader banking industry.

The key purposes of the role:

- Contribute to communications activities at both the local and regional level. Be a key part of the SG Americas communications team with responsibilities across the region while assisting on video, editorial and internal communications activities for Société Générale Canada, working directly with members of the communications team as well as others from SG’s business units and support functions
- Find opportunities for internal messages (video and written) to help drive staff engagement and positive employee morale through the development of compelling communication
- Bring an innovative and creative mindset to the SG Americas Communications team; help the team deliver projects in new and unexpected ways
- Work in partnership with the COMMs team and Human Resources to develop and implement SG Canada Employer Branding Strategy with a strong linkage to the Société Générale global strategy
- Work collaboratively with the SG Americas Communications team across various areas of the firm, developing communications strategies and tactics to meet their needs

The V.I.E. Communications Generalist mission is grouped on the following pillars:
CONTENT CREATION
- Propose stories and posts to be used both internally and externally
- Record and edit videos to be used internally or externally
- Help the Americas communication team to translate English content in French on demand.
- Participate in the SG Americas Editorial Committee, helping develop ideas for both internal and external content

EVENTS COORDINATION
- Assist with the coordination of events such as diversity month, Town Halls, TechFairs and much more.
- Work with key Diversity Groups/Employee Resource Groups to develop content for both internal and external channels provide assistance with the organization of potential events (Zoom, communications )

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Assist in the implementation of various projects (implementation of new tools is an example)

**Profile required**:
Studies & experience:

- A previous experience in Communication would be appreciated

Language skills:

- Fluent in English and in French (B2-C1)

Technical, operational & soft skills:

- Proficient/Good command of MS Office
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in writing - beyond fluency, must be a skilled writer who can produce stories and posts for both internal and external audiences
- Skilled in social media management - strategic approach across key platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram
- Translating capacity - there is a need for periodic translation of materials from English to French to use for our Montreal office
- Video editing - concepting, filming, and editing
- Project management - ability to individually manage projects with various internal business and support function clients
- Teamwork - ability to work effectively within the SG Americas team
- Knowledge in graphic design (Adobe Suite) is a plus
- Event planning skills is to be also relevant
- **The VIE assignment in a nutshell**
