We design, test, manufacture and assemble landing gear used on commercial aircraft including Airbus and Boeing, Bombardier and the military. The company has partnerships with 20 airframers in civil, regional, commercial and military transport, and supports 27,000 aircraft.
- **Job Description**_
- Update and maintenance of HSE programs and policies
- Assist in achieving the ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Certification process.
- Conduct the Risk assessment based on company risk methodology.
- Participate in the incident investigation process.
- Reviewing past and current injuries to improve the overall safety record at the site.
- Document management (document review, updates, signatories, and uploading on tools).
- H&S document incidents/infractions and observations.
- Recommend corrective actions
- Maintaining monthly Measurement of Performance (or Key Performance Indicator) data sheets.
- Update general planned inspections through physical assessment of the work area
- Maintain a WHMIS program, including a current SDS and employee
- Complete contractor training
- Knowledge of the Occupation Safety Act is an Asset
- Provides recommendations and implements strategies to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- **Requirements**_
- Ideally a College Diploma or University Degree in Industrial Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering or a related field
- 1 - 2 years of work experience in HSE, ideally in a manufacturing environment an asset
- Knowledge of both Federal and Provincial HSE regulations
- Experience working with and implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to flex schedule as needed to meet Health and Safety concerns
- Comfortable presenting/training in a classroom training

**Eligibility requirements**:
All applicants must meet the following requirements: Minimum age of 18 years. Must pass the Canadian Controlled Goods Regulations (CGR), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian government security clearances and applicable contractual obligations.
