**Young Adult Navigator (1 year term position) (X2)**
**SAGKEENG** **CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (SCFS)** is looking for two (2) Young adult Navigators**.** A_ll Sagkeeng CFS workers are expected to exhibit a commitment to the 7 Teachings: Respect, Love, Wisdom, Bravery, Truth, Honesty, and Humility. Sagkeeng CFS is committed to providing employment and professional development to Indigenous People_.
**Job Summary and Qualifications**
- Guides and provides assistance to young adults seeking access to voluntary services such as public health, mental health, disability services, and/ or education.
- Provides support to young adults through goal setting in the realms of education/ career aspirations, housing, and financial security.
- Monitors and tracks progression for young adults accessing services and the associated costs/funding.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

**Qualifications**:
- Education and experience in the social services sector.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Employment and Income Assistance regulations as found in the EIA Administrative Manual.
- Working knowledge of CFS legislation and standards.
- Experience working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds (cultural aspects, socially or financially disadvantaged, persons living with disabilities, etc.), who may face multiple barriers and challenges such as mental health concerns, addictions, and employment.
- Case management experience including conducting interviews, completing assessments, planning, and service coordination.
- Sensitivity to, and an understanding of the history of Indigenous peoples, the culture, and values.
- Non-violent crisis intervention and current CPR or Emergency First Aid.
- Access to a vehicle, and a valid Manitoba license
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and mediate conflict.
- Knowledge and understanding of resources for supports and services in the community.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a unit team.
- Ability to work effectively in a high volume and time sensitive environment.
- Proven ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Pay: $50,857.00-$64,304.00 per year
