**About Us**:
Caledon Meals on Wheels is committed to enhancing the well-being of seniors and older adults in our community by providing essential programs and services. We are seeking a dynamic Program Assistant to join our team for the summer months to support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of our programs across Caledon, Brampton, and Orangeville.

**Position Overview**:
The Program Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the execution of our programs and services, focusing on Seniors Wellness Programs, and special events. This role involves community outreach, program administration, collaboration with stakeholders, and active participation in organization events and meetings.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in planning, and implementing programs and services.
- Conduct outreach activities in seniors' buildings and within the community to promote our programs.
- Manage program administration tasks including intake, data collection, and reporting.
- Collaborate with agency staff, volunteers, and community partners in program planning and execution.
- Handle incoming calls, relay messages, and provide information and referrals to clients and inquiries.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
- Attend virtual events/meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Preferred Qualifications & Experience**:

- Eligibility under the Canada Summer Jobs 2024 program.
- Interest in program planning and implementation for seniors/older adults.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Windows and MS Office.
- Experience working with culturally diverse communities is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Enthusiasm, creativity, and the ability to lead group activities and presentations.
- Experience in the sports field or a passion for healthy living and physical fitness.
- Knowledge of food safety, food preparation, and nutrition.
- Daily access to a car due to limited public transit in Caledon.
- Criminal reference/vulnerability sector check required (costs reimbursed).

**How to Apply**:
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 weeks

Pay: $17.56 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
