**The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is responsible for the stewardship of the Port of Vancouver, Canada’s largest and most diversified port. Our mandate as a Canada Port Authority, as set out by the Canada Marine Act, is to enable Canada’s trade objectives, ensuring goods are moved safely and responsibly through the Port of Vancouver. That means providing infrastructure and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of marine traffic and cargo within the port. It also means we carry out reviews of proposed activities and developments on federal port lands and waters to determine whether a project can go ahead without impacts to the environment and community that cannot be mitigated.**

**Reporting to the Manager, Document Management - Project Controls, this Document Control Student supports the Document Control Coordinators on various implementation projects within the Infrastructure Division. This a fantastic opportunity to be introduced to working on large scale infrastructure projects in BC.**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Assist the Document Management - Project Controls department with preparing, verifying, and issuing transmittals**:

- **Assist the Document Management team with assessing incoming technical documents to make sure they meet quality standards**:

- **Scan, name, record, file, and archive documents in SharePoint Online**:

- **Perform other clerical tasks related to document control as required
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- **Must be a full-time student enrolled in a post-secondary institution with 2-3 months related experience in a professional setting**:

- **Students enrolled in business, engineering, office administration, or a related field are an asset but not essential. We are also open to students from other disciplines who have an interest in working on large infrastructure projects**:

- **Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office software packages and SharePoint Online**

**SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES**:

- **Must exhibit a strong orientation towards customer service and be highly motivated to work both independently and in a team environment**:

- **Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a team-focused environment**

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
**TERM & HOURS**:

- **7-month work term: February 2023 - September 2023**:

- **Regular daytime working hours: Monday to Friday with hours ranging from 25 to 37.5 hours per week dependent on the student’s availability**

**RATE OF PAY**:$21.74
