**Description**:
The Industry Relations Manager is responsible for increasing adoption of GS1 Canada Standards and Industry Managed Services (IMS) by identifying opportunities to promote and convert additional IMS and/or cost recovery within a strategic account. This role is a key contributor to delivering critical mass adoption for our Industry Managed Solutions (IMS) and Data Recipients. This role ensures Tier 1 and Tier 2 Data Providers achieve and maintain all of their Trading Partner requirements across multiple sectors._ _This position is a key contributor to delivering data integrity by enabling Data Providers to implement the IMS required by their trading partners. _Key metrics for this role may include: Cost Recovery targets, Data Provider Engagement targets, Service Adoption targets, Retention targets (% TBI), BR/QBR meetings, CRM updates._

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain KYC and key contact information for each Tier 1 and Tier 2 account and ensure relationships are established and maintained across all departments and levels of the subscriber’s organization, for all standards and Industry Managed Services (IMS);
- Conduct regular Business Reviews with all assigned subscribers to ensure they understand and meet their Trading Partners’ IMS requirements;
- Support Data Providers with establishing priorities and plans for meeting their TP requirements in a timely manner, and gaining commitment;
- Establish and maintain relationships with specific business process users to effectively promote, convert and implement identified IMS for their Trading Partners;
- Collaborate inter-departmentally to achieve multi-sector board deliverables;
- Drives engagement in existing and any new IMS including, but not limited to: New Item Introduction, Marketing Content, eCommerce Content, Pharmaceutical Content, Shelf Management Content, Enhanced Assets or Product Recall;
- Educate Subscribers on GS1 Canada standards and IMS, their value and pricing, their inter-dependencies, and handle objections in order to meet cost recovery targets;
- Retention of existing IMS subscriptions for assigned Data Providers;
- Obtain feedback from subscribers regarding potential service enhancements and share with relevant internal teams;
- Support subscriber participation in GS1 Work Groups;
- Participate in QA/UAT for new IMS launches;
- Participate in on-site subscriber meetings or industry events as required;
- Special projects as assigned

**Skills, Knowledge & Expertise**:

- Completion of a university degree in a related field preferred(i.e. B. Comm., Marketing etc.);
- Minimum 3 to 5 year’s experience in a sales account management role or business development capacity, preferably within an associated industry (i.e.: Retail, Foodservice, Pharma, Distribution, etc.);
- Strong analytical skills and Strategic Account Planning skills
- High level of proficiency using MS Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook;
- Experience with CRM software and best practices;
- Must have a strong understanding of products and services provided by GS1 Canada;
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to set priorities and manage many projects simultaneously;
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Bilingualism (English / French) considered an asset;
- Proven ability to multi-task given incomplete and conflicting knowledge, and prioritize multiple projects/initiatives in a deadline driven environment;
- Project Management skills an asset;
- Demonstrable experience in working autonomously and effectively while in the GS1 Canada office and telecommuting;
- Entrepreneurial spirit suited for fast-paced, ever-changing environment with flexibility to changing needs.
- Must be available to travel when required to meet with subscribers, support Trade Shows & Industry Events (25-30%)
