Youth Services Assistant

Position Summary
Reporting to the Children's Program Coordinator the Youth Services Assistant is a seasonal position
responsible to assist with the delivery of FCSS programming to children and youth.

Position Responsibilities
Assists with program advertising.

Plans activities for children's summer programs and assists in the preparation of youth activities.

Prepares facilities and supplies for program delivery.

Provides or assists in providing program delivery of all applicable child and youth programs.

Ensures all health and safety needs of program participants.

Maintains a record of daily program activities providing recommendations for future program
improvement.

Assists in program evaluation through feedback from participants and associated parties.

Assists in report preparation.

Directs Summer Youth Worker and assigns activities as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Skills

Completion of Grade 12 or higher with a focus on Social Work, Child Care or Early Learning

Minimum 18 years old

Clean Class 5 drivers license

Completion of Defensive Driving

Prior experience working with children or youth

Clear Criminal Records Check, Child Welfare Check ( including Vulnerable Sector Check)

Good communication and time management skills
Work Environment

Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors with potential exposure to the environment

Hours of work are variable
The wage range is $22.26 to $24.24 per hour. This is a seasonal position from approximately May 1, 2023 to August 31, 2023.
Positions will be based out of Wildwood.
