**The Role**:
**Position Status**: Full Time, 1 Year Contract with Possibility of Becoming Permanent

**The Organization**

Rupertsland Institute (RLI) is an affiliate of the Métis Nation of Alberta (MNA) and has a triple mandate in education, training, and research. With a decentralized network of 10 METI-Service Centres, a Corporate Head Office in Edmonton, and two mobile service units; RLI designs and delivers training and education services to more than 140,000 Alberta Métis.

**The Opportunity**

**To Fit the Role**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate Tutoring program.
- Early Learning Professional Development coordination support.
- Early Learning/K - 12 resource ordering and coordination.
- Support the team in preparation for, and/or attendance at, Métis early learning/K-12/Language conferences and events.
- Collaborate with the team to organize and maintain a contact list with early learning educators and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate the ordering, packing, delivery, set up, and mailouts of educational resources for participants and Knowledge Holders.
- Cross-reference data lists and maintain meticulous records of expenditures and resources to ensure accurate budget tracking and effective program planning.
- Reporting, filing, inventory, and data entry support when needed.
- Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends for RLI events and other activities, as needed.
- Willingness and ability to travel, as required.
- Other duties as required.

**Education and Experience**:

- Certificate or Diploma in Business/Office Administration.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
- Previous experience coordinating educational programs and events is highly desirable but not required.
- Experience working in early learning/education settings is highly desirable.
- Experience in a non profit and Indigenous organization are assets.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of Métis history, culture, and people, is an asset.
- Strong cultural and political sensitivity and awareness.
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
- Enthusiastic attitude towards supporting Métis education initiatives.
- Ability to build relationships with coworkers and community members.
- Proven experience in working independently and in collaboration within a team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and be adaptable and flexible to changing priorities.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and work within set deadlines.
- Interest and initiative to further develop skills where needed, specifically in areas of technology.
- Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides, Classroom) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint) to effectively manage program-related documents and communications.
