**Description **Jonview Canada Inc. is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager with 3 years of progressive experience. This new role will be reporting to the Director, Finance. The Manager will be responsible for Full Cycle Month-End Accounting. The manager will produce monthly financial reports and lead, develop and implement policies and procedures while maintaining all statutory, regulatory and legal requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Financial Reporting**:
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all monthly accounting and general ledger accounts, in compliance with all GAAP, IFRS accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
- Lead overhead allocations and any necessary lease schedules
- Review and maintain supporting schedules of general ledger accounts, including journal entries
- Lead accounting and reporting of any subsidiary, including review of all transactions
- Lead accounting and reporting of intercompany accounts, including review of all intercompany transactions
- Prepare and complete monthly financial reporting packages
- Keeps aware of market trends and changes in financial regulation.
**Financial Controls**:
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures
- Develop and implement financial controls in accordance with J‐SOX standards
- Ensure that the company’s financial systems and processes are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth
- Support the Director, Finance in liaising with auditors and external accountants to ensure quarterly and annual reporting is carried out in a timely manner.
**Accounting**:
- Review weekly accounts payable and bi‐weekly payroll transactions
- Manage and maintain a chart of accounts
- Ensure banking information, users and appropriate banking controls are enforced and up to date
- Ensure compliance with government reporting (CRA, WSIB etc.)
- Coordinate with the Director, Finance and Director, and HR on Insurance issues and renewals
**Position Requirements**
- 3 years of progressive experience in an Accounting or Financial reporting environment, ideally within the travel industry, with a minimum 2 years of leading teams
- Accounting designation CPA
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, taxation, and government filing
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable and responsive to business needs
- Excellent analytical skills with strong business acumen and knowledge to improve processes identify risks and make recommendations for changes
- Highly results-oriented, interested in change management and with strong relationship-building skills
- Strong problem solver, self‐starter, takes a hands‐on approach and is able to deal with reasonably complex finance issues.
