Orano Canada is a leading producer in uranium in Canada, working to power the future with clean energy Our McClean Lake mill is the most technologically-advanced mill in the world for the processing of high-grade uranium ore without dilution. The Contracts Administrator is responsible for site-related purchasing activities which include, but are not limited to: purchasing inventory and direct spend items, expediting, maintaining SAP vendor master files, vendor evaluations, identifying sourcing opportunities focused on supporting key department metrics, developing and executing RFx packages and vendor proposal evaluation. This position is also responsible for developing business relationships with internal clients and vendors.

What you’ll be accomplishing:

- Develop, build, and maintain valuable business relationships with internal customers, vendors and contractors and create opportunities for effective supplier relationships while optimizing cost effectiveness and delivery
- Work with site materials team to ensure inventory levels meet company targets and purchase required site inventory items through analysis of the SAP MRP and direct spend
- Monitor and purchase materials and services and expedite purchase orders within the assigned contract terms and conditions
- Remedy purchase order and invoice discrepancies
- Update SAP vendor information involving price, vendor planned delivery times and payment information
- Prepare RFx packages and evaluate vendor and contractor proposals
- Prepare and administer contracts related to site purchases and returns and administer change orders and contract amendments
- Review and adjust scopes of work and specifications to ensure Total Cost of Ownership strategies apply
- Understand the various Benefit Agreements and incorporate in all contracts and procurement processes
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure vendor compliance related to corporate governance policies
- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and stay current on internal customer needs, local and global commodity price trends, and price drivers
- Assist in vendor claims management process
- Support the warranty management process, escalating issues as necessary
- Track departmental KPI’s related to vendor performance and material cost savings
- Coordinate the disposal of assets and surplus stock
- Stakeholder Engagement: communicate position-related issues with applicable site departments
- Provide support within department as required
- Participate in department Master Plan and continuous improvement initiatives

**Ideal qualifications**:

- Qualities and skills, we’re seeking:
- Previous experience in contract administration
- Experience with coordinating small to medium contracts
- Knowledge of principles and concepts in contract formation and administration is required; SCMP designation preferred
- Demonstrated advanced English language proficiency
