MD Management Limited, a division of Scotia Wealth Management, has an exciting opportunity for a talented, enthusiastic, and client-focused Client Reporting Specialist to join our team.
As a Client Reporting Specialist, you will contribute to the overall success of the Account Maintenance Team in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

- Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Execute Canadian tax production and CRM2 activities accurately, within regulatory deadlines.
- Identify, document, and support resolution of system defects and process gaps, as required.
- Collaborate with internal and external composition and printing partners as it related to tax and CRM2 activities.
- Develop and maintain related procedure and work instruction documents, and review regularly and update as required.
- Establish processes and procedures that facilitate continuous process improvement on all tax production processes and ensure operational efficiency of the tax production processes.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

The Must Haves:
3 or more years of work experience in tax reporting in a financial services environment
- Working knowledge of securities entitlements and the impact on tax reporting for all products offered by MD Financial
- Problem solver and passionate about delivering quality service
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- College or University degree related to Commerce is an asset
- Tax related courses, certifications or completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
- Working knowledge of SPM/Confluence software is an asset
