- **Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities**:_
- Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
- Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts
- Maintain current product knowledge
- Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
- Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract customers
- Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up
- Identify and resolve client concerns
- Prepare a variety of status reports, CRM, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
- Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock
- Directly responsible for the company’s revenue (forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue)
- Set and monitor individual sales and marketing targets with sales team
- Liaise with marketing department to develop and implement plans and strategies (marketing and sales) for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals
- Exceed customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
- Conduct market research and competitor and customer analysis to determine market requirements for existing and future products
- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships; attend trade shows and industry conventions
- Evaluate performance of sales staff and provide feedback and support to the sales team
- Investigate lost sales and customer accounts
- Generate timely sales reports
- the territory covers BC, AB and SASK so the willingness to be on the road for several nights in 1 week will be expected.
- May require travel to the US to meet with our various suppliers
- **Qualifications**:_
- A degree in business, sales and marketing, or related professional qualification and five years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in planning and implementing sales strategy
- Technical sales skills
- Proven experience in customer relationship management
- Knowledge of market research
- Experience in managing and directing a sales team
- Relevant product and industry knowledge
- Capacity to work with employees, customers, and suppliers in a consistently friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to speak clear, articulate English is required
- Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
- A valid passport is needed
