The Temple Insurance team is made of highly experienced individuals who possess professional backgrounds in both engineering and underwriting, and handle a portfolio of industrial and commercial accounts across Canada requiring dedicated placements for Property, Casualty, and Construction.

**Munich Re is operating under a hybrid working model, including an average of 2 days in office/week with the remaining days working from home. Students are expected to relocate to the city in which they work for the duration of their co-op/internship, so they can fully benefit from the full program integration.**

Position Overview
You’ll work closely with our Claims Consultants within their respective departments, as well as with other key individuals across the organization, in our Toronto office.

Note that this opportunity is with Temple Insurance Company, a property and casualty insurer and subsidiary of Munich Re.

**Responsibilities**:
Work term responsibilities will vary depending on the department you’re placed; which may include, but not be limited to the following:

- Key Accountabilities:_
- Contribute to overall department practices and efficiencies;
- Assist with general administrative duties within Temple claims;
- Help with reporting; i.e. large loss reports, monthly claim reporting etc;
- Contribute by way of data clean up in claims system;
- Support and complete assigned tasks/projects during work term;
- Work closely with the Temple claims department and gain an understanding of the workings of the department.

- Develop baseline knowledge of insurance business, claims and department objectives;
- Contribute to overall team, department and company objectives.

**Qualifications**
First and foremost, we’re looking for well-rounded individuals who are technically astute, have strong communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to build positive relationships. We’re seeking collaborative professionals who are excited to join our winning team and show promise of becoming a future leader in the reinsurance space.

Specifically, we’re looking for the following qualifications:

- Current, or recently graduated, University or College student in insurance, data science, criminology or related degree program - in healthy academic standing;
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to quickly and accurately review data;
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions using available and sourced data;
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy;
- Possess a drive for results with successful collaboration and team work and a positive and ambitious attitude.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and Power BI is an asset;
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.

Note that this opportunity is open to both current students who are returning to in-class studies upon the completion of the work term, as well as recent graduates who have obtained their degree within the past year.
