We are on the lookout for a dynamic individual to join the team at our Markham Head Office as the Master of Fun and Social Shenanigans - also known as our Event/Social Media Coordinator. We are one of the fastest-growing, large scale companies in the Canadian market, so ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment is KEY

This position is considered intermediate skill level with the opportunity to develop into a more advanced role (Event/Social Media Manager) in the future. Major events you will be responsible for organizing include our High Client Event, Company-wide BBQ, and Christmas Party (to name a few).

**While we are strong believers in Play Hard, we also believe in Work Hard. As a versatile and enthusiastic individual, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following**:

- Creating/ordering invitations
- Gathering/consolidating the guestlist
- Distributing the invitations, sending reminders, and compiling the RSVPs
- Sourcing, scheduling, and booking venues
- Coordinating vendors and entertainment
- Supervising a team of support staff (warehouse staff, deliveries staff, etc.)
- Estimating quantities accurately
- Placing food and beverage orders
- Visualizing/planning venue layout (best location for bar, entertainment, etc.)
- Obtaining various permits
- Negotiating contracts
- Overseeing the setup, execution, and cleanup of events
- Being onsite before and after events to direct “people traffic” (vendor arrival, guest arrival, vendor cleanup, etc.)
- Maintaining organized documentation
- Contributing ideas and recommendations for future events
- Being proactive and handling issues quickly
- Monitoring all financials relating to events
- Creating social media content on Linkedin, TikTok, and Instagram to promote company events
- Devising a social media strategy (including schedule) to drive brand engagement and exposure
- Other special duties that may be assigned from time to time, including simple administrative tasks to support the rest of the team

**WHO YOU ARE**:

- An outgoing individual who has completed a Diploma or Post-Graduate Certificate in Event Planning/Management or a related field
- An individual with at least one (1) year of Event planning/coordination experience is REQUIRED.
- A tech-savvy individual who is familiar with social media platforms, including TikTok and Instagram.
- An organized individual who is able to plan, prioritize, and execute in a timely manner
- An effective verbal and written communicator
- An interpersonal individual that enjoys building strong connections and a professional network
- A creative and detailed individual who is open to thinking outside the box
- A problem solver and go-getter who is always looking to be proactive and handle issues quickly
- A FUN and ENTHUSIASTIC individual who is passionate about planning events and creating social media content to promote brand awareness and drive engagement
