JOB PURPOSE

Within the People Analytics team, this role will be key in supporting the team by leveraging data, infrastructure, and storytelling to drive evidence-based decision making by global expertise groups. This role will contribute to the capabilities of our team by taking on individual tasks and collaborating with team members in driving projects to completion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Data Scientist will be responsible for:
- providing accurate and complex analysis to the business in a clear and impactful way- contributing and collaborating on key projects- statistically interrogating the data to ensure the stability of insights- presenting analysis to team members that will feed into presentations to senior stakeholders- developing data solutions and predictive models-
- taking part in productionising data solutions by hosting on Azure Cloud infrastructureALL ABOUT YOU

EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD HAVE- experience collaborating on a project within a team- experience with Microsoft Excel- demonstrable experience in at least one statistical programming language such as Python or R with the willingness to quickly become proficient in Python- working knowledge of SQL-
- working ability to manipulate data in Microsoft Excel (for example vlookup/xlookup, sumproduct, pivot tables and if statements)- a comprehensive understanding of some of the following: Generalised Linear Models, Random Forests, Clustering, Principal Components Analysis and Network Theory. Experience of Neural Networks would be a plus, but not essential- good presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to the general audience- good visualisation skills

The following are beneficial but not compulsory:
- experience with Microsoft Azure- knowledge of version control systems such as Git- experience with visualisation using Power BI- familiarity with Databricks
