**HR Generalist**

We are looking for a Human Resources Professional that is people-orientated with a progressive attitude to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the front-line contact for our employees and leadership that will support the administration and delivery of HR related services: including talent acquisition and retention, labour relations, training and development, performance management, benefit administration and policy/procedure administration.

**Qualifications**
- Post-Secondary education in Human Resources Management
- 2+ years’ related HR experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of confidentiality and discretion
- Solid team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines
- High personal integrity, professionalism, and maturity
- Self-motivated and shows initiative, along with the desire to continually improve
- Ability to work independently
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and applicable employment legislation
- Familiarity with web-based recruitment and onboarding is an asset
- Experience in a unionized environment would be an asset

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- Oversee and lead the full recruitment cycle: including recruitment, interviews, training, and onboarding while continually improving the current processes
- Lead in the developing, updating and communicating HR policies and procedures
- Perform offboarding activities for exiting employees
- Administer employee benefit plans
- Lead communicator with employees for company announcements and policy changes
- Maintain HRIS, personnel files and documentation
- Provide guidance and assistance in the disciplinary action process; make recommendations on the appropriate level of corrective action
- Advise and assist supervisors with employee performance reviews
- Be the first point of contact for all HR-related queries
- Administer WCB claims and return to work activities
- Other relevant HR duties as required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $45,000.00 per year
