**Attendance Counsellor**

**McKinnon Attendance Centre (M.A.C.)**

Murray McKinnon Foundation is seeking an Attendance Counsellor for an 18 month Contract (Maternity Leave) for the MAC program.

Minimum requirements include completed post secondary education and three years related work experience or an equivalent combination thereof; a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and a reliable vehicle with adequate insurance is required.

In addition, the successful applicant should have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, a creative approach to working with young persons, excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members, families and community partners.

Knowledge of relevant legislation (YCJA, CFSA), a client centered strength based approach to working with clients, comfort level with the delivery of evidence based programs and practices both individually and in group are key components of this position. Cultural competencies are a must.
