IMCO ‘s Cyber and Information Security team is looking for a highly motivated Analyst to join the team

The Cybersecurity department works directly with the Chief Technology and Data Officer and the IT leadership team to plan, manage, and monitor the organization’s cybersecurity objectives. The team collaborates with internal and external strategic partners to strengthen IMCO’s cyber security posture continuously.

We seek a cyber analyst to join our highly skilled and growing team. As a cyber analyst, you will work with our internal and external partners to monitor our computer networks and endpoints, investigate security incidents, and implement security measures. You will also work with our vendors and stakeholders to conduct periodic audits, risk assessments, and penetration tests to ensure the safety of our data and systems.

**Responsibilities**:
- Monitor computer networks and endpoints for security issues and events- Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents- Install security software and operate firewalls, encryption programs, and other security tools- Assist in the remediation of detected vulnerabilities and maintain a high-security standard- Stay current on Cybersecurity trends and threats as well as latest tactics and procedures of different threat actors.- Develop and promote best practices for information security- Conduct threat research and analysis- Perform periodic audits, risk assessments, and penetration tests

**Skills**:- Intrusion detection is the process of monitoring and identifying unauthorized or malicious activity on computer networks and systems. Cyber analysts must use various tools and techniques to detect and prevent intrusions, such as IAM, PAM, DLP, endpoint security, firewalls, antivirus, and SIEM.- Risk identification and management: This assesses potential threats and vulnerabilities that could compromise an organization’s security. Cyber analysts must partner with our vendors to conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and penetration tests to evaluate the security posture and recommend solutions.- Communication: This conveys information clearly and effectively to different audiences, such as technical staff, management, or clients. Cyber analysts need to have good written and verbal communication skills to report on security incidents, explain security issues, and provide guidance.- Collaboration: This is the skill of working well with others to achieve a common goal. Cyber analysts must collaborate with other cybersecurity professionals, IT staff, or external partners to coordinate security efforts and share best practices.

What you need to succeed- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or related field is preferred- Experience in information security or related field- Proven work experience as a cyber analyst or similar role- Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques or cyber defense and blue team activities.- Understanding of IAM, PAM, DLP, endpoint security, firewalls, antivirus, SIEM- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them
