Bookkeeper/administrative Assistant

**Responsibilities**:
- Perform accounts payable duties, including processing invoices, reconciling statements, and issuing payments
- Assist with budgeting tasks, such as monitoring expenses and preparing financial reports
- Provide support in technical accounting areas, such as preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts
- Assist with payroll processing, including verifying timesheets and calculating employee wages
- Conduct account analysis to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Assist with governmental accounting tasks, such as preparing reports for audits and complying with regulatory requirements
- Utilize 10-key typing skills to accurately input financial data
- Assist with tax-related tasks, such as gathering documentation and preparing forms
- Contribute to financial report writing by compiling data and preparing summaries
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with financial software systems (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
