- Accountable for leading strategic occupancy management for undergraduate and graduate students.
- Collaborate and lead strategic occupancy management plans that align with University strategic enrolment plans.
- Oversee the development and implementation of accommodations marketing plans
- Oversee accommodations communications.
- Manage the development and maintenance of the website, aligning it with the University brand and strategic plan.
- Support recruitment events and enrolment management.
- Provide Housing and institutional tours to prospective parents and students, clients and guests in support of the department goals.
- Work with campus stakeholders to support ancillary goals and ensure timely marketing communication.
- Support guests and residents either in person, telephone and/or electronically to problem solve issues and concerns particularly as they pertain to community standards and University retention initiatives.
- Hire, train, review and support administrative staff, currently 3 full-time CUPE Administrative Assistants.
- Participate in the training and support of an additional 50-55 student staff.
- Assist the Manager with financial management of the Housing budget.
- Prepare Housing Services mid-year reporting documents, in adherence to University financial policies and procedures.
- Responsible for collecting bad debts; oversee the execution of the debtor process.
- Provide immediate problem resolution and direction to staff and guests during emergent situations.

Position Requirements

Position Requirements:

- Successful completion of a university undergraduate bachelor degree, business or education preferred.
- 2 years experience in student services, accommodations, financial management and/or marketing.
- Communications experiences both in-person and electronically.
- Human resources experience; supervising and/or managing staff.
- Superior organizational and problem solving skills including proven ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision, prioritize work and accomplish task accurately and on time.
- Financial management experience; increasing revenues while managing expenses.
- Software management experience; managing a customer relationship database and program.
- Understanding of undergraduate recruitment strategies and experience in marketing to undergraduate students.
- Experience and understanding of diverse environments; cultural and identity understanding.

Physical Demands

Primarily an office environment.

May be required to do some lifting to support accommodations needs.

Pay Grade APT 4 Salary Range $62,909 - $84,893 annually Status Term Work Hours

Typically 8:15 am - 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Some evenings and weekends as needed.

On-call required.

Travel 3-4 times per year - may include weekends.

Must be available during student resident arrivals and departures (arrivals typically end of August and beginning of January).

Must be available to support non-student arrivals and departures.
