**Job Summary**

The Junior Service Technician/Installer, under the direction of the Scheduler and Lead Service Technician, will be responsible to train under Lead Service Technicians to perform HVAC services to customers and clients. The Service Technician/Installer must possess high school diploma, GED, or equivalent and G2/G1 gas license. No previous service experience is required.

**Job Duties**
- Support customer base by resolving questions, concerns, and technical issues, as well as handling customer inquiries and complaints which are escalated from other departments
- Analyze problems and make recommendations as to root causes and corrective actions
- Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner
- Respond to customer service calls in a courteous and professional manner
- Handle customer complaints as they arise, escalating to the appropriate individual as deemed necessary
- Maintain a high level of customer service
- Troubleshoot technical problems related to products and services
- Adapt communication style in order to deliver information effectively to a range of individuals
- Develop and build relationships with new accounts and develop additional contacts within existing accounts
- Ensure follow-up by passing leads to Sales Representatives
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge
- Review and adapt to information regarding product innovations, competitors, and market conditions
- Perform various gas, refrigeration and/or HVAC tasks in the RNC department as needed.

**Job Requirements**
- G2/G1 gas license
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract
- Meticulous records maintenance skills
- Self-motivation with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Highly developed understanding of industry regulations, standards, and best practices
- Clean criminal record check
- New MOL approved Working at heights training, AWP and WHMIS 2015 training considered an asset
- Ability to quickly pick up new product and service knowledge, and communicate that knowledge effectively to customers
- Firm understanding of electrical schematics and sequence of operations in regards to HVAC/HVACR equipment
- Able to diagnose, repair and maintain all brands of HVAC related equipment including but not limited to: Furnace, Air Conditioner, ERV/HRV, Thermostat, Fans, Air Quality Equipment, Water Heaters, Unit Heaters, MUA Systems, Zoning and Boilers.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Demonstrated time management skills
- High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- Ability to adapt to new technology

**Work Conditions**
- Working hours, may vary based on workload and season. Must be available for overtime, if required. Available for on-call for emergency/after-hours service rotation schedule.
- Must be physically capable of performing duties, lifting 60+ lbs for the duration of shift, ladder/stair use
- Could be going on construction sites, must be capable of walking on uneven ground
- Could be going into confined spaces, basements and attics
- Could be working in various temperatures and weather, indoors and outdoors
- Able to wear all PPE including work boots and hard hat
- Interaction with customers/clients, and the public at large
- Operation of smart phone and various mobile apps and the internet
