As a Marketing Assistant, under the direction of the Faculty Administrator, this position will play a role in supporting the faculties’ online presence, sharing authentic and engaging content with our global audience. The student’s creativity and passion for storytelling will help the Faculty of Education showcase the unique experiences and opportunities offered at the Faculty of Education, in efforts to increase community engagement and create a funnel for future enrollment.
- Content Creation: Under the direction of the Faculty Administrator will develop and curate engaging and relevant social media content, including posts, stories, and multimedia assets, to promote the Faculty of Education’s programs, events, and achievements.
- Audience Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and interactions on social media platforms, fostering engagement and building a positive online community
- Assist with content calendar management: Will assist the Faculty Administrator with the planning and maintenance of a content calendar to ensure a consistent and well-paced posting schedule, taking into account key academic dates, events, and trending topics in education.
- Basic Analytics Tracking: Occasionally will track social media performance metrics
- Trend Awareness: Stay informed about current social media trends and best practices in higher education marketing to optimize content strategy and outreach efforts.
- Collaboration: Collaborate, with students, and other stakeholders to gather content ideas, user-generated content, and testimonials that enhance the Faculty’s social media presence and credibility.

Position Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student in the Faculty of Education;
- Strong passion for social media, content creation, and digital storytelling.;
- Proficiency in photography and videography;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
- Good understanding of Instagram. Tiktok and Facebook platforms and their respective audiences;
- Creative thinking and the ability to come up with innovative content ideas;
- Basic knowledge of social media analytics and metrics;
- A positive attitude and willingness to represent the Faculty of Education with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Physical Demands Pay Grade CUPE Phase 3 Salary Range $21.70 - $26.05 per hour Status Casual Work Hours

This is a casual position and the hours will vary. Approximately 12-16 hours per week.
