As a senior leader within the organization, the **Manager, Insights & Analytics **manages and leads our Winnipeg-based Insights & Analytics team, providing expertise and service excellence to internal customers and partners. In conjunction with the team, the Manager, Insights & Analytics is charged with collecting, organizing, and analyzing research and data and turning them into actionable insights that assists organizational decision making and supports the achievement of corporate goals.

The Manager, Insights & Analytics provides thought leadership in domains including business intelligence & analytics, data governance and research methods while supporting and guiding organizational transformation through data & analytics strategy development and execution.

**Accountabilities**
- Lead, set priorities, and provide direction to the Insights & Analytics team
- Support development, execution and evolution of data & analytics strategy, governance, standards, and best practices
- Champion the development of data literacy and related skills throughout the organization towards WCLC’s strategic aspiration to “Lead with Data”
- Provide direction for the organization’s research and insights program
- Oversee the ongoing development and maintenance of the Corporation’s Situational Analysis document, including data and information collection
- Accountable for the development of the organization’s performance monitoring framework including corporate strategic goal and KPI identification, data collection, and reporting
- Foster a culture of customer service excellence within the Insights & Analytics area
- Develop actionable insights to drive corporate decision making and overall performance
- Provide support to the Corporation’s strategic planning, business planning, and performance management processes
- Support development of reporting and presentations to various internal and external stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Directors.
- Maintain knowledge of evolving trends in Data Science, Analytics and Research Methods
- Support or lead special projects as required

**Qualifications and Competencies**
- 5+ years of combined leadership and operational experience
- Post-secondary education in business, computer science, statistics or equivalent; MBA preferred
- Demonstrated experience in planning, executing, managing and delivering data and analytics projects across different lines-of-business that inform business decisions and drive insights
- Progressive experience in business intelligence/data analytics, including gathering, structuring, and analyzing large data sets
- Working knowledge of data analytic tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlik Sense etc.)
- Strong management skills including performance management, planning, prioritization, objective setting, and plan execution
- Demonstrated experience with strategic, business planning, and performance management in a complex government setting
- Demonstrated experience in developing concise management reports and presentations for a variety of audiences
- Familiarity and experience with research trends and methods
- Ability to communicate strategic direction into a plan of action and the details of complex concepts and processes succinctly to a non-technical audience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead, interact with, influence, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals and organizations from a variety of cultures and disciplines
- Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously with mínimal direction, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Familiarity with the lottery industry would be considered an asset
