Mission of the role:
A successful Account Executive prospects for new customers, gets past the gatekeeper, educates the decision maker(s) on DNE’s value proposition, presents proposals to customers, closes contracts with one’s own prospects and leads received through other channels.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

- Prospect and cold call customers in order to generate demand and qualify;
- Follow up with inbound leads generated by marketing and Business Development Representatives to qualify prospects;
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospect to close;
- Do account management and renewals for the top 20% of your accounts (by $ value)
- Have 2+ years of outbound sales experience in the retail energy industry (electricity and natural gas)
- Be able to prioritize tasks such as pipeline management and client follow-ups
- Be based in Alberta

Compensation:
Base Salary of $50,000-$60,000 per year + Monthly Commission + Quarterly Bonus

On Target Earning after 1 year of full target: $95,000 (this is the sum of base, commission and bonus for achieving target, we have uncapped commissions and bonuses so exceeding target generates significantly greater income, top T4 for an Account Executive in 2023 was $118,992).
